The Ultimate Obscure Jersey Tournament is Down to the Final Four

For the 13th year in a row, Stuck In The 90s Sports - a vintage sportswear historian, reseller, and community godfather - has created something special: the Obscure Jersey Competition.

This is easily our favorite time of year in the vintage community. Think March Madness but for the most obscure jerseys on the planet. The tournament started with 68 jerseys, and we're down to an incredible Final Four:

• A Detroit Vipers jersey from when 69-year-old Gordie Howe came out of retirement for one legendary shift in 1997

• Jim Harbaugh's actual 1987 Michigan Rose Bowl jersey

• A New Mexico Scorpions minor league hockey jersey that needs to be seen to be believed

• A Chicago Packers jersey from their only season before becoming the Zephyrs, and eventually, the Washington Bullets/Wizards

Behind The Scenes: Our Cult Classics Series

Every Saturday of my childhood, my dad and I would hit Chicago thrift stores hunting for vintage clothing and sportswear. That passion never left - if anything, it got more intense. That obsession never faded. The only difference now? I finally learned how to make videos about it.

Since March 2024, we've created 82 videos about vintage sportswear and the culture around it. But our "Cult Classics" series? That's the one that took off and became something bigger than we imagined.

The challenge was simple: tell the complete history of a vintage sportswear brand in under 60 seconds. Ten episodes and over half a million views later, we're just getting started. No fancy production, just pure storytelling about the gear we love.
